A late entry to Wigan’s food and Drink Festival, The Coven, launches 'Guilt & Pain Free' Range of Cakes. Aimed at anyone who enjoys cakes but would like them without the fats, cholesterol, gluten or lactose, the Magic Cake range fulfils all these qualities. Already known for its excellent veggie & vegan cuisine, The Coven are launching a new range of cakes at Wigan's Food & Drink festival on the 12th & 13th March. The cakes are the result of applying specialist vegan baking skills by The Coven's chef - and, as one customer put it "...they are the best cakes I've ever tasted'. The Magic Recipe fulfils many a dream of those who would like to enjoy a cake treat but are concerned about things like calories, fat, lactose, animal products or other problematic ingredients. The special qualities of these cakes include: - Dairy/Lactose Free(good for anyone suffering lactose/dairy intolerances)
- Egg Free
- Gluten Free (good for celiac’s and others suffering from gluten intolerance)
- Low in saturated fats (70% less!)
- Zero cholesterol (100% less!)
- Lower calories (20% less/slice)
- No artificial anything
The other great thing about them is that they taste as good as 'normal' cakes - with great texture too so they offer 100% of the enjoyment for all. Flavours on sale and sampling at the festival include: - Lyles Golden Syrup
- Earl Gray
- Real Lemon Drizzle
- Matcha
- Chocolate Orange
- Fruit
We’ll also be showing a range of ‘Magic Muffins’ with all the same qualities as above but with a range of other flavours. About The Coven The Coven is one of only a handful of gourmet café/restaurants in the area. Specialising in vegetarian and vegan food, we aim to please all and have a wide range of meals to suit everyone. On top of the other recent product launches we've also added a range of additive-free old fashioned preserves from the famous local producer 'Mrs Darlingtons'. This range is completely in keeping with our aim to offer only natural products from local independent sources. |
