Already known for its excellent veggie & vegan cuisine, The Coven are launching a new range of cakes at Wigan's Food & Drink festival on the 12th & 13th March.  The cakes are the result of applying specialist vegan baking skills by The Coven's chef - and, as one customer put it "...they are the best cakes I've ever tasted'.  The Magic Recipe fulfils many a dream of those who would like to enjoy a cake treat but are concerned about things like calories, fat, lactose, animal products or other problematic ingredients.  The special qualities of these cakes include:

About The Coven

The Coven is one of only a handful of gourmet café/restaurants in the area. Specialising in vegetarian and vegan food, we aim to please all and have a wide range of meals to suit everyone.   As a specialist vegetarian and vegan venue, our cooking is highly imaginative, uses local ingredients and aims to provide fresh flavourful meals to order and for take home through our ‘Coven to the Oven’ range of gourmet ready-meals.  We are also one of the area’s top tea rooms, with over 20 types of leaf teas & tisanes – including specialist teas such as Matcha and Jasmine Dragon Pearls.  

 Last year, The Coven gained a ‘Healthy Business Award’ from Wigan Councils food standards team in recognition of the quality and healthiness of the meals. We are also a ‘breastfeeding friendly’ venue with recognised facilities for nursing mothers.
